We are currently recruiting for a Project Information Manager to join our IT & Data team here at SCS Railways.
About the role:
Reporting to the Project Information Management Lead, the successful candidate will act as a key interface between project teams and the information management function, supporting the coordination, management, and delivery of project information. The role focuses on ensuring the effective planning, compliance, and delivery of information, including the full suite of Information Deliverables, across all phases of the Main Works Civils Contract (MWCC) for Lots S1 & S2 of the HS2 Project.
Flexible working: This role will be based in the project offices for a minimum of days per week.
Role responsibility
- Support the implementation and adherence to information management standards, procedures, and governance frameworks across the project.
- Act as a point of contact for project teams on information management compliance and best practice.
- Coordinate with Project Information Leads and other Information Managers to ensure all project deliverables are identified, tracked, and delivered in accordance with project requirements and standards such as ISO 19650.
- Support the development and coordination of Information Delivery Plans (IDP), including Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDP), ensuring alignment with programme milestones and work package requirements.
- Liaise with Work Package Managers, Design Managers, Construction Managers, Delivery Team members, and the Assurance team to ensure all information deliverables are captured and managed appropriately.
- Assist in the management and use of the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring information is correctly structured, validated, and maintained with integrity.
- Ensure project information is correctly classified, named, and attributed with accurate metadata, supporting the development of the Project Information Model.
- Collaborate with BIM, Digital Engineering, IT, PMO, Quality, Assurance, and Commercial teams to support integrated information delivery.
- Support the monitoring and reporting of project information performance and key metrics.
- Participate in project management processes, including performance monitoring and reporting procedures.
- Contribute to information delivery and handover processes to operations and asset management teams.
- Support staged and final information handovers in line with programme gateways and project requirements.
- Assist in defining and applying information acceptance criteria and readiness metrics.
- Support internal and external audits, assurance activities, and compliance reviews.
- Maintain awareness of risks related to information quality, traceability, and completeness, escalating issues where required.
The ideal candidate
- Experience supporting the management of project deliverables using document management systems and project plans within infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of the UK BIM Framework, including BS1192, PAS1192, and ISO 19650 standards.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary and complex project environment.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse and interpret information management performance.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets, databases, and information management systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with sound judgement and decision-making capability.
- Excellent organisational, administrative, and planning skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships across project teams.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail with a flexible and proactive approach to work.

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
